Contentor is a content creator company. Before the automation, they were involved in manually creating invoices for every article they created for their customer, which was a time taking task and inefficient as well.

Cloudify’s solution automated these tasks and ensured that the necessary data was present where and when needed, saving Contentor time and increasing efficiency. What did Contentor needed help with?
Contentor needed help with automating their accounting process, mainly the invoice creation process and cutting out the manual work. The automation experts at Cloudify analysed the client’s accounting process and identified the areas where automation could be implemented.
The Solution
How did we approach it?
We helped Contentor team simplify their invoice management by automating the process.
The automation started with creating an invoice that triggered uploading an XML file. The XML file was sent to a special computer program called AWS Lambda, which converted it into easier-to-read information called JSON objects. These objects were then used to complete multiple tasks like creating invoices, finding or adding customers and products in Fortnox, and creating draft invoices, all without the need for manual work.
With the automation of their accounting process, Contentor was able to save time and increase efficiency in their operations.
Here are the workflows:
Finding an existing customer in Fortnox: Checking if the customer exists in Fortnox and retrieving the customer’s information or the workflow stops if the customer does not exist.
Creating invoice line rows in Fortnox: Creating invoice line rows in Fortnox prior to draft invoice creation.
Creating a draft invoice in Fortnox: Checking if the draft invoice exists in Fortnox and retrieving the draft invoice followed by updating the invoice with new invoice line rows.
