Q: What exactly does this integration do?
This integration helps you:
Automatically fetch and validate company information using VAT numbers
Keep your HubSpot CRM data accurate and up-to-date
Access official company data from government databases
Perform bulk updates of company information
Track data synchronization status
Q: How do I install the integration?
Click "Install App" in the HubSpot marketplace
Select the HubSpot account where you want to install the app
Click "Connect app"
Grant the necessary permissions The app will be installed automatically on the selected account
Q: How does the mapping configuration work?
The mapping process involves:
Select your country from the dropdown menu
Review pre-mapped fields (Company Name, Address, etc.)
For unmapped fields (shown as 'Not Mapped'), click 'Actions' to assign a HubSpot property
Create new HubSpot properties if needed
Ensure all mandatory fields are mapped (Company Name is required for all countries)
Click 'Save Mappings' when finished
Q: What country-specific data fields are available?
Different countries have specific data fields:
Australia: state and zip code
Finland: city and language
Denmark: registration number, phone, and email
Norway: municipality, industry description, state, zip code and extra information
Switzerland: state, zip code, capital nominal
UK: capital nominal
Q: How do I find the integration settings after installation?
Find the Marketplace icon at the top of the page
Click on "Connected apps"
Click on the Company VAT app
Select "Go to settings"
Click on "Customize Mapping"
Q: Which countries' databases does the integration support?
The integration currently supports data retrieval from:
Australia (Australian Business Registry Services - ABRS)
UK (Companies House)
Switzerland (Commercial Register)
Finland (Finnish Patent and Registration Office - PRH)
Norway (Brønnøysund Register Centre)
Denmark (Det Centrale Virksomhedsregister - CVR)
Q: How do I add a company's information to my HubSpot CRM?
Open a company inside HubSpot CRM
Locate the Company VAT Lookup card on the right side
Click on "Search Company"
Select a country and enter the VAT number or company name
Click "Add" for the desired company
Refresh the page to see the newly inserted data
Q: How does the bulk update feature work?
To update multiple companies:
Go to Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps
Click on 'Bulk Update'
Map the 'VAT/Organisation Numbers' in the mapping window and also add the value in the mapped field in HubSpot companies, make sure you have mapped the country and have a valid name as well
Click the "Update" button
The app will update the selected companies with the latest data
Q: Can I create new custom properties through the integration?
Yes, you can create new custom properties by:
Going to the Mapping window
Clicking on "Create new HubSpot property"
Providing a label and name for the property
The new property will be added to your HubSpot Company list
Q: How does VAT lookup and data updating work with VAT numbers?
You can update company data by:
Using the search window to enter either a company name or VAT number
Selecting the appropriate country first in the search window
Using the search window in the CRM card to find company matches
Adding basic company data directly to your CRM
