Customer sync rules
  • Under the ‘Contacts’ tab, you need to set the sync rules for Microsoft Business Central and Shopify app.

  • Select the search parameter of the sync. This determines which field in Shopify will be used to search for the customers in Microsoft Business Central. For example, we have selected the “customer name” field in Shopify to sync with the “company name” field in Microsoft Business Central.

  • Whenever a sync is performed, the customer name field in Shopify will be matched with the company name field in Microsoft Business Central. If a match is found, then the contact will be updated; if a match is missing, a new contact will be created.

  • Go to the ‘Microsoft Business Central customer number sync’ section. Select the option from the dropdown “Let Microsoft Business Central create the customer number” if you want to auto-generate the Microsoft Business Central customer number when a new customer is created.

  • Select the second option “Take customer number from Shopify” if you want to use any field from Shopify to be populated with the Microsoft Business Central customer number. Then click on ‘Save Changes.’

Note: Feel free to click Get Guided Installation if you require assistance from Cloudify experts regarding the installation steps
